We have the best ownership family in the world. Bar none. Spurred by the success of last year’s Koenigsegg Owners’ Tour of Sweden, a group of customers decided to gather again for a ‘takeover’ of Geneva during the biggest motor show of the year.

While most owners had their car shipped to Geneva for the event, we do have to acknowledge one intrepid owner who decided to drive to Geneva, including a stint through the snow-covered Swiss Alps!

The video below will give you a great insight into the conditions the Agera ML faced on the journey. Bear in mind that this is a rear-wheel-drive car with 1160hp!

There were up to eight Koenigseggs present in Geneva during the motor show, although you will only see seven of them in most of the group photos below (the blue One:1 only joined on the first press day of the show).

Cars on site included two of the seven One:1’s ever built, the first Agera RS built for the US market (Agera XS), the recently re-built Agera prototype, the aforementioned Agera ML (which may or may not be re-named as the Agera Snow-Plow), the gold-leaf adorned Agera RS Naraya, and two CCXs, one of which is affectionately known by its number plate – BOO!!

Attendees enjoyed a few days filled with great driving, great dinners and of course, a visit to the best motor show in the world. In fact, two of our owners decided to surprise us and take the notion of ‘visiting the motor show’ to another level completely, driving their cars on the red carpet inside the building right up to the Koenigsegg stand!

As mentioned above, we really do have the best ownership family in the world. It was a huge effort and a wonderful gesture for them to make their way to Geneva this year and we at Koenigsegg certainly appreciated it. They brought smiles to people’s faces wherever they went.

There were plenty of photo opportunities to be had for the car spotters around Geneva. We asked our experienced Koenigsegg photographer, James Holm, to do a shoot with the cars at Quay de Cologny by Lake Geneva, and the beautiful Hotel des Eaux-Vives.

Those photos are featured in the gallery below, along with others by German snapper, Keno Zache, and some photos from Koenigsegg staff and even the owners themselves!

        Yep!
The Agera S Hundra, Agera RS Naraya, Agera RS Gryphon and the Regera in British Racing Green all feature gold leaf accents!

Except the gold leaf on the Regera is a unique 24K White Gold I believe…..

Hmmm…..I’m not so sure…..to me, it looks like there are just a few golden stripes along the side of the Agera R Zijin and not actual gold leaf.

But I do think the brake callipers and the centre console are gold-plated, on the other hand…..maybe we should ask Mr. von Koenisegg about it! Or maybe sift through the archives for more information! 🙂

    Hey Mr. Wade!

So that’s what that’s what this little ‘meetup’ was! When I watched a YouTube video on an alleged ‘takeover’ of the Geneva Motorshow by a bunch of Koenigseggs, I knew that it couldn’t have been a coincidence that they all just happened to meet! But if I were one of the owners(hopefully I will be one day) I would have also felt the need to go beyond the Koenigsegg Owner’s Tour and conquer Geneva! 🙂

Props to all the owners who made it to the show, and of the course the courageous owner of the Agera RS ML who made it past the alps with winter tires and a lot of heart-in-the-mouth moments I believe! Driving a RWD 1160 HP hypercar during heavy snowfall is not to be taken lightly and I think I agree with you Mr. Wade, about the many uses of a large carbon-fiber splitter. For example, a very expensive snow-plow!
All welcome the Koenigsegg Agera RS SP(Snow Plough)! 😀 😀 😀

It really is great to see 5.33% of your lifetime production having a blast at the world’s greatest motor show, Mr. von Koenigsegg! I guess now is your cue to found the official(and exclusive) Koenigsegg Owner’s Club! I’m sure the owners will appreciate that! It really is true, that you guys have the greatest ownership family in the world. Hope they have many more adventures like this one! 🙂

    P.S.-
1.Just like how the Agera RSes have their unique names like ‘XS’ and ‘ML’, do the seven One:1s have any Mr. Wade? For example, is the Blue One:1 called the Koenigsegg One:1 ‘Enzeo’?
2.Mr. Wade, is the Agera ‘Prototype’ you mentioned on lines 16 and 17 really an Agera Prototype? No offense, but it looks like the Agera RS prototype to me.

Amazing, always a joy to look at Koenigseggs. My dream car has always been the Agera R when I first laid eyes on it. Whatever you guys do in the future, I’m confident that it’ll be breathtaking. I’m just a kid, but I hope to attain one of these masterpieces in the future. I won’t stop working towards that goal until I do😄

Oh, what a dream come true it must be to to own a Koenigsegg. Even just being there looking at them at the Geneva Motor Show! What a fenominal car, absolutely the outstander. No car has such a glory or extrodinary beauty!! I’ve seen videos of the Koenigsegg’s performance, unbelievable!!! It’s striving for absolute perfection (I think it already has achieved it). I can just imagine how AWESOME it must be to own one! I think when I achieve my goals and are able to own a Koenigsegg, I will sleep, eat, drink and study in my garage. Continiously enjoying the view of this flawless car’s extrodinary body. No matter how much or long you look at it, you will never get bored!!

Well done Koenigsegg company. You have made a dream car, with outstanding specs! You have achieved something no other car manufacturer has ever done, or even come close to, before!!

I honestly have fallen in love with the Koenigsegg story. These cars are just simply amazing. From a small Christmas time movie to inspire a hypercar creator, to a world lap breaking and beautiful car. It makes me think, could I ever build something so beautiful and innovative? Thank you for putting your ideas into reality & you are definitely bringing something to the table other than a “luxury” car, especially for the next wave of super cars in the future.

What is the difference between the Agera ‘Prototype’ and the Agera RS?

The prototype, as the name suggests, is the first Agera that we built. It has been updated, at the customer’s request, to RS specification.

    Hi Mr Wade
When do we get to see journalists road testing the Regera?
Haven’t been any videos of the car out of Koenigsegg’s hands.
I understand that Koenigsegg in car manufacturer perspective is a small company, and you probably prioritize delivering cars to paying customers.
But for us, your fans.. We really are waiting to know much more about this fantastic piece of engineering! And YouTube, magazines and TV shows are our way of getting a bit of this unreachable fantasy car 🙂

    Sharing is caring 😀
